Water Treatment Silica Sand
We manufacture quartz sand (playground sand) under a high-quality control monitoring program. We extract it from high-purity quartz sand mines. Then, it reaches our factories in Saudi Arabia. BMS FACTORIES mineral treatment processes include washing, drying, and grading. It meets ANSI/AWWA B100-09 strength specifications per ASTM E11 test sieve standards.
We use silica sand in sand filters for water filtration with other water treatment filtration media products. Examples include Gravel, Anthracite, Activated Carbon, Birm, Pumice, and Garnet. People use sand filters in desalination plants, R.O. reverse osmosis treatment plants, portable water treatment, surface water treatment, sewage treatment, swimming pool water treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, and conventional water treatment filters.
Filtration and Water Production:
In addition, we use industrial sand in the filtration of drinking water, the processing of wastewater, and the production of water from wells. Uniform grain shapes and grain size distributions produce efficient filtration bed operation by removing of contaminants in both potable water and wastewater. Chemically inert, silica will not degrade or react when it comes in contact with acids, contaminants, volatile organics, or solvents. Also, we use silica gravel as packing material in deep-water wells to increase yield from the aquifer by expanding the permeable zone around the well screen and preventing the infiltration of fine particles from the formation.
