Activated carbon is used to remove contaminants and impurities, using chemical adsorption. Calcite is a naturally occurring mineral; it is subject to considerable variation. Its industrial application depends upon properties such as composition, particle size and shape, specific gravity, hardness, and color. Calcium Carbonate is used in glass. Calcite powder for glass industry must compose of a high and consistent percentage of CaO and be devoid of color imparting impurities like Fe2O3 etc. Rajasthan is an excellent source of high whiteness calcite. Calcium Carbonate is used in ceramics. Our calcite is used in every kind of ceramic product manufactured including art ware, porcelain, pottery, floor tiles, sanitary ware to name a few.
With their special qualities as white filler and coating pigment, calcium carbonate is more ore used in the paper, plastics, paints and coatings industries. Other qualities are used in a wide range of applications in the chemical industry, construction, environment, agriculture and even human consumption. The main use of calcium carbonate is in the construction industry, either as a building material, or limestone aggregate for road building, as an ingredient of cement, or as the starting material for the preparation of builders’ lime by burning in a kiln. However, because of weathering mainly caused by acid rain,calcium carbonate (in limestone form) is no longer used for building purposes on its own, but only as a raw primary substance for building materials.

]]>Industrial Raw Limestone Mineral is a rock made of calcite. Most limestone is grey, but all colors of limestone from white to black have been found. Scientists test natural rock to see if it is limestone by pouring cold diluted hydrochloric or sulfuric acid (10% solution or vinegar) on it. Limestone gives off bubbles of carbon dioxide. Limestone is used as Industrial Raw Materials with other industrial raw material products such as Silica Flour, Aggregate, Quicklime, Talc, Volcanic Rock, Abrasives and Calcium Carbonate. Limestone and CaCO3 are the same material, but used in different ways — the first is used as aggregate in the construction industry or as a ‘flux’ (used for removing chemical impurities) in the iron and steel industry, while the second is used in the chemical and manufacturing industries. Limestone has numerous uses: as a building material, an essential component of concrete (Portland cement), as aggregate for the base of roads, as white pigment or filler in products such as toothpaste or paints, as a chemical feedstock for the production of lime, as a soil conditioner, or as a popular decorative addition to rock gardens.

]]>Hydrated Lime Mineral also known as Calcium Hydroxide, is an inorganic compound which is formed when Calcium Oxide is combined with water and is used in tanning and agriculture. Hydrated lime is also used in the treatment of drinking water. Hydrated Lime is used as Industrial Raw Materials with other industrial raw material products such as Silica Flour, Limestone, Aggregate, Quicklime, Talc, Volcanic Rock and Abrasives.
Hydrated lime is essential to the production of sugar from both sugar cane and sugar beets. It is also used to purify sugar from other sources, such as maple or sorghum, although these are produced in much smaller quantities. Lime also serves a myriad of uses in the food industry. Alkali plants with access to natural soda ash use the “lime-soda process” to manufacture caustic soda (sodium hydroxide). Sodium carbonate (soda ash) reacts with lime slurry to form caustic soda and precipitated calcium carbonate as co-products. Calcium carbide, the oldest source of acetylene, is formed by mixing quicklime and coke. Lime is used in the two major processes to manufacture magnesia (magnesium oxides): the seawater process and production from brines. Calcium hypochlorite bleaches are produced by reacting lime with chlorine. Lime can be combined with certain additives to produce other metals and is also a key ingredient in mortar and plaster in lime slurry form. As an additive in asphalt, lime improves its cohesion, reduces stripping, and retards the aging process.
Besides being a significant flocculant in water and sewage treatment, hydrated lime is also used in the preparation of ammonia gas, and is used in the paper industry. Aqueous solutions of hydrated lime are called limewater; medium strength bases that react with acids that can attack some metals such as aluminum while protecting other metals from corrosion such as iron and steel by passivation of their surfaces. Hydrated lime adopts a polymeric structure, as do all metal hydroxides. It is produced commercially by treating lime with water.

]]>Water Treatment Gravel Filtration Media is extracted from Saudi Arabian purest quartz Gravel mines and manufactured though an active processing control program monitoring material by the process of washing, drying and grading as per stringent specifications standard of ANSI/AWWA B100-09 and ASTM E11 test sieve standards.
Gravel is used in Water Filtration with water treatment Filtration products Silica Sand, Anthracite, Activated Carbon, Birm, Pumice and Garnet in portable water treatment, surface water treatment, swimming pool water treatment, R.O. reverse Osmosis treatment plant and wastewater treatment also in conventional water treatment filters. Filter Gravel is an extremely effective filter media because of its ability to hold back precipitates containing impurities. Filter sand size, angularity and hardness are the important filter sand characteristics to ensure proper filtering. In slow sand filters, the gravel is normally on the bottom layer and is used as channels for filtered water to make it to the outlet lines. Sand will often plug the holes in the outlet pipe and the gravel helps prevent that. The primary role of the gravel in the bio-sand filter is to prevent clogging of the PVC pipe with sand. The first layer is sufficiently deep to cover the inlet to the pipe and should be large enough to keep the openings in the filter bottom free for the flow of water out of the filter, and the upper layer fine enough that the overlying filter sand will not sink into its pores.
Sand and gravel are used for road construction, for mixing with asphalt, as construction fill, and in the production of construction materials like concrete blocks, bricks, and pipes. It is also used to make roofing shingles, used on icy roads in the winter, for railroad ballast, and water filtration. The quarry is often where our gravel and other aggregates are excavated and where rocks such as sandstone and basalt are crushed down to size.
